The Ship’s Voice boomed, and Karisalay startled, but only a bit. “The Immortal’s dead, oxymoronic as that might sound. And I do wish you’d stop skulking around in the Crew’s Access. You’re giving me a headache.”
Karisalay stared upward, then smiled fondly at Taryn. “You didn’t. Surely you didn’t.”
“No, auntie, point of fact, I didn’t.”

This almost made me wince. Not anything about the story, characters or writing. Just that my migraines have been bugging me lately. All it took was the word headache to give me instant sympathy. ;o)
